Hollywood loves the idea that big data will eventually turn into big brother and control all of us like hamsters on a hamster wheel. Data scientists and their good intentions with big data can turn evil quickly due to unexpected consequences (like the machines leveraging data and massively parallel processing to take control away from us naïve humans).
